A prominent courier company is looking for a reliable and responsible Code 08 Driver to join our Cape Town branch. If you take pride in safe driving, good customer service, and maintaining high operational standards, this role could be for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with sorting of freight and copying waybills
- Assist with off-loading line haul vehicles
- Deliver and collect consignments locally and in outlying areas
- Safeguard parcels to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement
- Ensure full compliance with road safety and traffic regulations
- Practice defensive driving and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Conduct full vehicle inspections at the start of each shift and report any issues
- Maintain driving standards in line with K53 requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Code 08 driver’s licence (essential)
- Appointment subject to successful driver assessment
- Previous road freight experience will be advantageous
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good communication skills
- Professional self-management and presentation
- Honest, reliable, and responsible with excellent attendance and time-keeping
